Milk Cartons

Remove caps (caps are garbage). Place the milk cartons in the blue bag with other plastics, glass and cans.

Needles (Sharps)

Your pharmacy has a program in place for sharps, simply ask your pharmacist for a sharps container to properly dispose of your needles. When your container is full just bring it back to the pharmacy for disposal. For more information call 396-1495

Paint cans empty

If your paint cans are empty you remove the lid and place it in the garbage, place the empty cans beside the garbage bag.

Pellet Bags

Pellet bags can now be recycled with other plastics. Please ensure bags are completely empty.

These items must be taken to the Enviro Depot for recycling. Stewarts Enviro Depot, 2636 Westville Rd. or John's Bottle Depot on 28 Depot St. in Pictou.

Please drop shoes & boots into the Textile Bins located throughout the County and at the Pictou Co. Solid Waste Facility at Mt. William. One of a kind, torn and worn shoes/boots are acceptable!
