We all know that winter weather is very unpredictable. Our collectors do their very best to collect your waste in all seasons, but sometimes, in the interest of public safety, they may not be able to collect on your road. Below are a few collection tips for the winter weather.

Winter Collection

• Place your material where the collector can see it: 6-8 ft. back from the road.
• If you put your material out the night before, it may get plowed in and our collectors will not see it. However, your material must be out by 7 a.m. to ensure pickup.
• Frozen food in your green cart? Wrap food in boxboard or newspaper. Also, place cart in the sun if possible.

Cancellation Policies

• Any cancellation will be made on our Hotline message center as soon as possible.
• Cancellations will be made on your local radio station by 7 a.m.
• If collection is cancelled, remove material from roadside as soon as possible.
• When your collection day is cancelled, organics, blue bags and garbage will be collected on the following Saturday.
